Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Ducks II by Christopher Bramham was sold in the Modern British Art Day Sale auction at Christies in London in July 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 9,998.40) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christopher Bramham achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Railway Bridge Spring in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 74,400.00 (€ 110,405.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Ducks II von Christopher Bramham wurde im Juli 2013 in der Auktion Modern British Art Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 9.998,40) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Christopher Bramham erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Railway Bridge Spring im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 74.400,00 (€ 110.405,86).
