Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Embankment, October by Christopher Bramham was sold in the Modern British & Irish Art Day Sale auction at Christies in London in June 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 21,865.41) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Christopher Bramham have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Railway Bridge Spring in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 74,400.00 (€ 110,405.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Embankment, October von Christopher Bramham wurde im Juni 2014 in der Auktion Modern British & Irish Art Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 21.865,41) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Christopher Bramham auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Railway Bridge Spring im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 74.400,00 (€ 110.405,86).
