Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2018 Christies in New York held the auction First Open Online: Post-War and Contemporary Art, which included the work Disco Inferno by Christoph Steinmeyer. The price achieved of USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,273.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Christoph Steinmeyer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dolores, which sold at auction in February 2011 for GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,779.16).
