Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Two works: Untitled by Christoph Ruckhäberle was auctioned at Phillips in an online auction in October 2020, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 438.00 (€ 376.06). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christoph Ruckhäberle achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hotel Seeblick in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 84,000.00 (€ 62,439.60).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Two works: Untitled von Christoph Ruckhäberle im Oktober 2020 bei Phillips in einer Online-Auktion versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 438,00 (€ 376,06) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Christoph Ruckhäberle erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hotel Seeblick im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 84.000,00 (€ 62.439,60).
