Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Christian Stöcklin could be acquired at Sothebys in London in October 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master and Early British Paintings auction, the work Church Interior With Figures Conversing And Praying changed hands for GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,461.24) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Christian Stöcklin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An Imaginary Church Interior With Figures in June 2013 with an auction result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 30,745.58).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Christian Stöcklin konnte im Oktober 2008 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Old Master and Early British Paintings wechselte die Arbeit Church Interior With Figures Conversing And Praying für GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.461,24) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Christian Stöcklin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit An Imaginary Church Interior With Figures im Juni 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 30.745,58).
