Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2008 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction European Noble and Private Collections, which included the work A church interior with figures praying and conversing and; A church interior with figures praying and a passing mother with child by Christian Stöcklin. The price achieved of EUR 2,500.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christian Stöcklin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An Imaginary Church Interior With Figures in June 2013 with an auction result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 30,745.58).

Im Juni 2008 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion European Noble and Private Collections durch, in der auch die Arbeit A church interior with figures praying and conversing and; A church interior with figures praying and a passing mother with child von Christian Stöcklin zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 2.500,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Christian Stöcklin erzielen.
