Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Architectural Palace Capriccio With Figures Conversing; Architectural Ruins With Figures Beside A Fountain by Christian Stöcklin was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2017. The price achieved of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,331.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Christian Stöcklin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work An Imaginary Church Interior With Figures, which sold at auction in June 2013 for USD 40,000.00 (€ 30,745.58).

Die Arbeit Architectural Palace Capriccio With Figures Conversing; Architectural Ruins With Figures Beside A Fountain von Christian Stöcklin kam im Mai 2017 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.331,89) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Christian Stöcklin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit An Imaginary Church Interior With Figures beobachtet, die im Juni 2013 für USD 40.000,00 (€ 30.745,58) versteigert wurde.
