Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2007 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Master Pictures and Drawings, which included the work A church interior with figures praying and conversing; and A church interior with figures praying at the altar of Saint Anthony by Christian Stöcklin. The price achieved of EUR 7,450.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Christian Stöcklin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An Imaginary Church Interior With Figures in June 2013 with an auction result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 30,745.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2007 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Master Pictures and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A church interior with figures praying and conversing; and A church interior with figures praying at the altar of Saint Anthony von Christian Stöcklin zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 7.450,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Christian Stöcklin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit An Imaginary Church Interior With Figures im Juni 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 30.745,58).
