The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,264.73) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Christian Richter have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Ill-Matched Lovers in April 2016 with an auction result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 26,221.48).

Die Arbeit A Gentleman, In Amber-Coloured Cloak With Blue Lining And White Cravat, Long, Full-Bottomed Wig von Christian Richter kam im November 2013 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.264,73) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
