A top price for Christian Richter - as previously expected
In April 2016 Christies in New York held the auction Old Masters: Part II, which included the work The Ill-Matched Lovers by Christian Richter. The result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 26,221.48) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Ill-Matched Lovers is the most expensive artwork by Christian Richter that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im April 2016 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Masters: Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Ill-Matched Lovers von Christian Richter zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 26.221,48) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist The Ill-Matched Lovers das teuerste Kunstwerk von Christian Richter, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
