Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2013 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art, which included the work Drying Sheets On The Shore Before Split, Croatia by Christian Frederic Eckardt. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,918.14) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christian Frederic Eckardt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Danish Morning In The Bay Of Corfu in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 60,500.00 (€ 84,715.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2013 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Drying Sheets On The Shore Before Split, Croatia von Christian Frederic Eckardt zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 2.918,14) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Christian Frederic Eckardt erzielen.
