Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work Richard Benjamin, Paula Prentiss, Dick Cavett, and others, c. 1970s by Chris von Wangenheim for USD 240.00 (€ 189.17). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chris von Wangenheim achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lisa Taylor, Publicité pour Christian Dior, 1976 in June 2019 with an auction result of EUR 23,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2006 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Richard Benjamin, Paula Prentiss, Dick Cavett, and others, c. 1970s von Chris von Wangenheim für USD 240,00 (€ 189,17) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Photographs bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chris von Wangenheim erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lisa Taylor, Publicité pour Christian Dior, 1976 im Juni 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 23.750,00.
