Auction result well in line with expectations
In March this year Phillips held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction, which included the work Untitled (double-sided) by Chris Johanson. The price achieved of USD 2,286.00 (€ 2,102.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chris Johanson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2010 with an auction result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 32,338.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Phillips die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (double-sided) von Chris Johanson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.286,00 (€ 2.102,65) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chris Johanson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 32.338,91).
