This artwork by Chris Huen Sin Kan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May last year. In the 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale auction, the work Joel and Balltsz sold for HKD 1,386,000.00 (€ 164,547.95) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 500,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Chris Huen Sin Kan; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot b. 1991 sold at auction in April last year with the realized price of HKD 1,890,000.00 (€ 228,514.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chris Huen Sin Kan erzielte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale wurde die Arbeit Joel and Balltsz für HKD 1.386.000,00 (€ 164.547,95) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 500.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Chris Huen Sin Kan; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit b. 1991 im April letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 1.890.000,00 (€ 228.514,76).
