Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2018 Christies in New York held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Chittaprosad Bhattacharya. The price achieved of USD 5,000.00 (€ 4,302.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Chittaprosad Bhattacharya have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in September 2020 with an auction result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 25,601.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Chittaprosad Bhattacharya zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 4.302,19) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chittaprosad Bhattacharya auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 25.601,64).
