Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Mother and Child); Untitled (Boy with Earthen Pot) by Chittaprosad Bhattacharya was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2020. The price achieved of USD 2,500.00 (€ 2,133.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chittaprosad Bhattacharya achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in September 2020 with an auction result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 25,601.64).
