Here, the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 3,250.00 (€ 2,980.28). Admittedly, works by Chittaprosad Bhattacharya have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in September 2020 with an auction result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 25,601.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Road Side Vendors; Untitled von Chittaprosad Bhattacharya kam im September 2019 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 3.250,00 (€ 2.980,28) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chittaprosad Bhattacharya auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 25.601,64).
