Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2016 Christies in London held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art, which included the work Untitled (Fishing Village) by Chittaprosad Bhattacharya. The price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,893.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Chittaprosad Bhattacharya have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in September 2020 with an auction result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 25,601.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Fishing Village) von Chittaprosad Bhattacharya zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.893,35) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chittaprosad Bhattacharya auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 25.601,64).
