Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Waving Creatures by Jimoh Buraimoh was sold in the Modern & Contemporary African Art Online Sale auction at Bonhams in London in April 2021. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,657.50 (€ 1,906.61). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jimoh Buraimoh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A pair of beaded panels, which sold at auction in October 2019 for GBP 3,812.50 (€ 4,422.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Waving Creatures von Jimoh Buraimoh wurde im April 2021 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art Online Sale bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.657,50 (€ 1.906,61) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Jimoh Buraimoh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A pair of beaded panels beobachtet, die im Oktober 2019 für GBP 3.812,50 (€ 4.422,23) versteigert wurde.
