Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary African Art Online Sale, which included the work Dream of an Elephant unframed. by Jimoh Buraimoh. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,657.50 (€ 1,906.61). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jimoh Buraimoh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A pair of beaded panels, which sold at auction in October 2019 for GBP 3,812.50 (€ 4,422.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art Online Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dream of an Elephant unframed. von Jimoh Buraimoh zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.657,50 (€ 1.906,61) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Jimoh Buraimoh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A pair of beaded panels beobachtet, die im Oktober 2019 für GBP 3.812,50 (€ 4.422,23) versteigert wurde.
