Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary African Art Online Sale, which included the work Flute Player by Jimoh Buraimoh. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,083.75 (€ 1,246.63). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jimoh Buraimoh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A pair of beaded panels, which sold at auction in October 2019 for GBP 3,812.50 (€ 4,422.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art Online Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Flute Player von Jimoh Buraimoh zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.083,75 (€ 1.246,63) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Jimoh Buraimoh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A pair of beaded panels beobachtet, die im Oktober 2019 für GBP 3.812,50 (€ 4.422,23) versteigert wurde.
