This artwork by Chen Yanning achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in April 2021. In the Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art auction, the work Thinking Of The Future (Painted In 1988) sold for HKD 330,400.00 (€ 35,374.50) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Chen Yanning have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Aureole in June 2014 with an auction result of CNY 2,596,000.00 (€ 305,679.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chen Yanning erzielte im April 2021 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Thinking Of The Future (Painted In 1988) für HKD 330.400,00 (€ 35.374,50) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 120.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chen Yanning auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Aureole im Juni 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 2.596.000,00 (€ 305.679,47).
