Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2014 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century Chinese Art, which included the work The First Day Of Chinese New Year by Chen Yanning. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 1,800,000.00 – 2,400,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 1,840,000.00 (€ 189,433.36) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Chen Yanning have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2014 the work Aureole was auctioned for CNY 2,596,000.00 (€ 305,679.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2014 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century Chinese Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The First Day Of Chinese New Year von Chen Yanning zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 1.800.000,00 – 2.400.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 1.840.000,00 (€ 189.433,36) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Chen Yanning konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juni 2014 die Arbeit Aureole für CNY 2.596.000,00 (€ 305.679,47) versteigert.
