Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2017 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale), which included the work SHANGHAI by Chen Yanning. The price achieved of HKD 250,000.00 (€ 28,546.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Yanning achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Aureole in June 2014 with an auction result of CNY 2,596,000.00 (€ 305,679.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2017 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit SHANGHAI von Chen Yanning zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 250.000,00 (€ 28.546,64) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Yanning erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Aureole im Juni 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 2.596.000,00 (€ 305.679,47).
