In May 2010 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese 20th Century Art (Day Sale), which included the work Imagery by Chen Yanning. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 1,580,000.00 (€ 164,144.23), 58% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Chen Yanning; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Aureole sold at auction in June 2014 with the realized price of CNY 2,596,000.00 (€ 305,679.47).

Im Mai 2010 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese 20th Century Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Imagery von Chen Yanning zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 1.580.000,00 (€ 164.144,23) und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Chen Yanning; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Aureole im Juni 2014 mit dem Hammerpreis von CNY 2.596.000,00 (€ 305.679,47).
