Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Seven-character Poem in Cursive Script by Chen Xianzhang was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2011. It changed hands for a price of HKD 375,000.00 (€ 35,874.90) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 300,000.00 – 400,000.00. Admittedly, works by Chen Xianzhang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy in Cursive Script in June 2015 with an auction result of HKD 2,440,000.00 (€ 282,194.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Seven-character Poem in Cursive Script von Chen Xianzhang kam im November 2011 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 35.874,90) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 300.000,00 – 400.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chen Xianzhang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy in Cursive Script im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.440.000,00 (€ 282.194,73).
