Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Poetry By Tao Yuanming In Cursive Script Calligraphy by Chen Xianzhang was sold in the FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY auction at Christies in Hong Kong in April 2001. The price achieved of HKD 32,900.00 (€ 4,752.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Xianzhang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy in Cursive Script in June 2015 with an auction result of HKD 2,440,000.00 (€ 282,194.73).

Die Arbeit Poetry By Tao Yuanming In Cursive Script Calligraphy von Chen Xianzhang wurde im April 2001 in der Auktion FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 32.900,00 (€ 4.752,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Xianzhang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy in Cursive Script im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.440.000,00 (€ 282.194,73).
