This artwork by Chen Xianzhang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2010. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Calligraphy in Wild Cursive Script sold for HKD 212,500.00 (€ 22,076.36) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Xianzhang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy in Cursive Script in June 2015 with an auction result of HKD 2,440,000.00 (€ 282,194.73).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chen Xianzhang erzielte im Mai 2010 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy in Wild Cursive Script für HKD 212.500,00 (€ 22.076,36) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Xianzhang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy in Cursive Script im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.440.000,00 (€ 282.194,73).
