This artwork by Chen Shizeng achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in July 2020. In the Cultivating Delight: Collecting Chinese Art auction, the work Plum Blossoms sold for HKD 81,250.00 (€ 8,902.03) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Shizeng achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flowers in September 2015 with an auction result of USD 137,500.00 (€ 123,185.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chen Shizeng erzielte im Juli 2020 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Cultivating Delight: Collecting Chinese Art wurde die Arbeit Plum Blossoms für HKD 81.250,00 (€ 8.902,03) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Shizeng erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flowers im September 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 137.500,00 (€ 123.185,81).
