A top price for Chen Shaoxiong - as previously expected
In May 2014 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Collective Memories: International Finance Center by Chen Shaoxiong. The price achieved of HKD 250,000.00 (€ 23,643.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Collective Memories: International Finance Center is the most expensive artwork by Chen Shaoxiong that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Mai 2014 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Collective Memories: International Finance Center von Chen Shaoxiong zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 250.000,00 (€ 23.643,70) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Collective Memories: International Finance Center das teuerste Kunstwerk von Chen Shaoxiong, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
