Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Chen Qiang could be acquired at Phillips in an online auction in April last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Faces Places: Online Auction auction, the work Untitled (07-74) changed hands for HKD 7,560.00 (€ 914.06) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Qiang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 2001-29 in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 93,750.00 (€ 10,834.75).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chen Qiang konnte im April letzten Jahres bei Phillips in einer Online-Auktion für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Faces Places: Online Auction wechselte die Arbeit Untitled (07-74) für HKD 7.560,00 (€ 914,06) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Qiang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 2001-29 im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 93.750,00 (€ 10.834,75).
