A top price for Chen Qiang - as previously expected
The work 2001-29 by Chen Qiang was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2015. The price achieved of HKD 93,750.00 (€ 10,834.75) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, 2001-29 is the most expensive artwork by Chen Qiang that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit 2001-29 von Chen Qiang kam im April 2015 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 93.750,00 (€ 10.834,75) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist 2001-29 das teuerste Kunstwerk von Chen Qiang, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
