Upper estimate price exceeded by 80 %.
This artwork by Chen Mo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2021. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction, the work Goose sold for HKD 126,000.00 (€ 14,015.75) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 70,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Chen Mo; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Flowers And Birds sold at auction in April this year with the realized price of HKD 18,000.00 (€ 18,381.52).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 80 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chen Mo erzielte im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Goose für HKD 126.000,00 (€ 14.015,75) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 70.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Chen Mo; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Flowers And Birds im April diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 18.000,00 (€ 18.381,52).
