Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work 25:00 No. 1 & 25:00 No. 2 by Chen Lingyang was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 1,250.00 (€ 1,146.26). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Lingyang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Twelve Flower Months in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 125,000.00 (€ 14,497.69).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit 25:00 No. 1 & 25:00 No. 2 von Chen Lingyang im September 2019 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 1.250,00 (€ 1.146,26) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Lingyang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Twelve Flower Months im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 125.000,00 (€ 14.497,69).
