Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work 25:00 No. 1 & 2 (Set Of Two) by Chen Lingyang for HKD 32,500.00 (€ 3,796.87). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Asian Art at Sothebys in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 50,000.00 – 80,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chen Lingyang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Twelve Flower Months, which sold at auction in November 2019 for HKD 125,000.00 (€ 14,497.69).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit 25:00 No. 1 & 2 (Set Of Two) von Chen Lingyang für HKD 32.500,00 (€ 3.796,87) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 50.000,00 – 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Chen Lingyang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Twelve Flower Months beobachtet, die im November 2019 für HKD 125.000,00 (€ 14.497,69) versteigert wurde.
