Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2013 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale), which included the work Sheep Shearing by Chen Keng. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 43,750.00 (€ 4,338.62) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Chen Keng have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2013 the work Towing Out to Sea I was auctioned for HKD 87,500.00 (€ 8,295.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2013 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sheep Shearing von Chen Keng zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 43.750,00 (€ 4.338,62) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Chen Keng konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2013 die Arbeit Towing Out to Sea I für HKD 87.500,00 (€ 8.295,97) versteigert.
