Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Returning Home by Chen Keng was sold in the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 40,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 50,000.00 (€ 4,740.56) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Chen Keng have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2013 the work Towing Out to Sea I was auctioned for HKD 87,500.00 (€ 8,295.97).

Die Arbeit Returning Home von Chen Keng wurde im November 2013 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 50.000,00 (€ 4.740,56) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
