Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Mountain Village; Calligraphy In Running Script by Chen Jiru was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2020. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 1,000,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 1,008,000.00 (€ 111,644.20). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chen Jiru - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy, which sold at auction in April this year for HKD 336,000.00 (€ 343,121.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Mountain Village; Calligraphy In Running Script von Chen Jiru wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 1.000.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 1.008.000,00 (€ 111.644,20) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Chen Jiru mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy beobachtet, die im April diesen Jahres für HKD 336.000,00 (€ 343.121,74) versteigert wurde.
