Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2018 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings, which included the work Calligraphy In Cursive Script by Chen Jiru. The price achieved of HKD 437,500.00 (€ 46,163.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 380,000.00 – 480,000.00. Admittedly, works by Chen Jiru have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy in April this year with an auction result of HKD 336,000.00 (€ 343,121.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2018 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy In Cursive Script von Chen Jiru zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 437.500,00 (€ 46.163,24) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 380.000,00 – 480.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chen Jiru auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 336.000,00 (€ 343.121,74).
