It achieved a price of USD 16,250.00 (€ 12,005.91), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 35%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Jiru achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy in April this year with an auction result of HKD 336,000.00 (€ 343,121.74).

Die Arbeit Calligraphy In Cursive Script von Chen Jiru kam im September 2013 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 12.005,91) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 35%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Jiru erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 336.000,00 (€ 343.121,74).
