This artwork by Chen Baochen achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2018. In the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction, the work Calligraphy in Running Script sold for HKD 56,250.00 (€ 6,348.80) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Chen Baochen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy in April 2019 with an auction result of HKD 400,000.00 (€ 45,531.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chen Baochen erzielte im November 2018 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy in Running Script für HKD 56.250,00 (€ 6.348,80) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chen Baochen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 400.000,00 (€ 45.531,65).
