Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy by Chen Baochen was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong in April this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 8,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 9,600.00 (€ 9,803.48) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Chen Baochen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy in April 2019 with an auction result of HKD 400,000.00 (€ 45,531.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy von Chen Baochen wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 8.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 9.600,00 (€ 9.803,48) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chen Baochen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 400.000,00 (€ 45.531,65).
