The work Calligraphy Couplet in Regular Script, 1927 by Chen Baochen was auctioned at Bonhams in December last year. It achieved a price of USD 10,200.00 (€ 9,534.49), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 70%. Admittedly, works by Chen Baochen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy in April 2019 with an auction result of HKD 400,000.00 (€ 45,531.65).

Die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet in Regular Script, 1927 von Chen Baochen kam im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 10.200,00 (€ 9.534,49) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 70%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chen Baochen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 400.000,00 (€ 45.531,65).
