Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (1/1/06) by Charline von Heyl was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art Afternoon Sale auction at Christies in New York in November 2016. The price achieved of USD 100,000.00 (€ 94,535.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charline von Heyl - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dumka, which sold at auction in May 2019 for USD 300,000.00 (€ 269,082.43).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 100.000,00 (€ 94.535,83) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Charline von Heyl mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Dumka beobachtet, die im Mai 2019 für USD 300.000,00 (€ 269.082,43) versteigert wurde.
