A top price for Charlie Tjapangati
This artwork by Charlie Tjapangati achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Sidney in May last year. In the Important Australian Art auction, the work Untitled, 2002 sold for AUD 14,760.00 (€ 13,754.54) - well above the upper estimate of AUD 8,000.00. This high result makes Untitled, 2002 the most expensive artwork by Charlie Tjapangati that we have observed at auctions so far.
