Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work 'The Oxer', 'The Bullfinch' and 'The Stonefaced Narrer-back' (3) by Charlie Johnson Payne was sold in the The Sporting & Wildlife Sale auction at Bonhams in Edinburgh in September 2020. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 600.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 637.50 (€ 702.95). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charlie Johnson Payne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Glad Trong That Goes Laughing Along in December 2003 with an auction result of USD 33,460.00 (€ 26,561.88).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit 'The Oxer', 'The Bullfinch' and 'The Stonefaced Narrer-back' (3) von Charlie Johnson Payne wurde im September 2020 in der Auktion The Sporting & Wildlife Sale bei Bonhams in Edinburgh versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 600,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 637,50 (€ 702,95) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charlie Johnson Payne erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Glad Trong That Goes Laughing Along im Dezember 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 33.460,00 (€ 26.561,88).
