In September 2020 Bonhams in Edinburgh held the auction The Sporting & Wildlife Sale, which included the work The Finest View in Europe by Charlie Johnson Payne. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 828.75 (€ 913.83), 38% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charlie Johnson Payne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Glad Trong That Goes Laughing Along in December 2003 with an auction result of USD 33,460.00 (€ 26,561.88).

Im September 2020 führte Bonhams in Edinburgh die Auktion The Sporting & Wildlife Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Finest View in Europe von Charlie Johnson Payne zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 828,75 (€ 913,83) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charlie Johnson Payne erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Glad Trong That Goes Laughing Along im Dezember 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 33.460,00 (€ 26.561,88).
