Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Robes for Trade by Charlie Dye was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2006. The price achieved of USD 5,400.00 (€ 4,256.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charlie Dye achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work First One in Town in February 2019 with an auction result of USD 87,500.00 (€ 76,896.04).

Die Arbeit Robes for Trade von Charlie Dye kam im September 2006 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.400,00 (€ 4.256,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charlie Dye erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit First One in Town im Februar 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 76.896,04).
