In June 2001 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction TWENTIETH CENTURY ART INCLUDING BELGIAN ART, which included the work Rozen In Glas - Roses In A Glass by Charley Toorop. The »bidding war« ended at NLG 64,625.00 (€ 31,061.79), 44% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charley Toorop - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rozen - Roses, which sold at auction in November 2004 for EUR 107,550.00.

Im Juni 2001 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion TWENTIETH CENTURY ART INCLUDING BELGIAN ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rozen In Glas - Roses In A Glass von Charley Toorop zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von NLG 64.625,00 (€ 31.061,79) und damit 44% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Charley Toorop mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Rozen - Roses beobachtet, die im November 2004 für EUR 107.550,00 versteigert wurde.
