Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2015 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Modern Art, which included the work Takken met vruchten, herfst by Charley Toorop. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 51,900.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charley Toorop - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rozen - Roses, which sold at auction in November 2004 for EUR 107,550.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2015 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Takken met vruchten, herfst von Charley Toorop zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 51.900,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Charley Toorop mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Rozen - Roses beobachtet, die im November 2004 für EUR 107.550,00 versteigert wurde.
